To ensure that outcomes are met, the consortium has established the following key workgroups: Data and Accountability; Work-Based Learning; Pathway Development/Integrated Curriculum; and Student Supports and Transitions. Membership of the workgroups includes partners from K-12 school districts, community colleges, business, and industry.
Each workgroup will elect co-chairs, one from community college and one from K-12, that serve two-year terms. The role of co-chairs for each workgroup rotates among community college and K-12.
Each year, individual workgroups will identify goals and objectives and monitor the progress of their work. The Steering Committee will identify overarching goals and ensure that there is a cohesive plan for each workgroup’s efforts to align with and inform one another. The consortium operates using a consensus model. In the event that consensus is not possible, the Executive Committee will determine next steps.
Additionally, the consortium will retain an outside evaluator, Social Policy Research Associates, to develop and conduct a formative and summative evaluation process for each program component. The evaluator will work within the existing structure to share findings and assist the Steering Committee to analyze results, target areas needing improvement and identify promising practices that may be replicable among partners.
If any changes or updates need to be made to the Committees/Workgroups Roster, please email the chair or co-chair of your workgroup and cc Tiffany Lu, tiffany.lu@sdcoe.net, so that the most accurate information can be made available.
